The International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) is an international non-profit organisation based in Washington, DC. Founded in 1987, IFES supports the development and practice of elections in new and emerging democracies, overseeing technical assistance and research programs across Asia, Africa, Europe and the Americas.
