Irene Fernandez (1946-2014) was a Malaysian political figure and human rights activist who founded the NGO Tenaganita for the rights of migrant workers and refugees in Malaysia. In 2005 she won the Right Livelihood Award for campaigning against violence against women and the abuse of migrants and poor workers.
