With the Commonwealth Games just underway, it seems that briefly, people are interested in talking about the Commonwealth. Researchers on this project have been busy over the last couple of weeks writing and recording their thoughts about what the Games can tell us about the Commonwealth as a whole.

Philip Murphy has just penned a piece for The Conversation, entitled, ‘Let the Games begin, but what’s the point of the Commonwealth?’, whilst Sue Onslow appeared on All Things Considered for BBC Wales on Sunday 20th. You can catch the programme again here. Sue also appeared in a slightly more irreverent look at the Commonwealth hosted by Tina C, in Tina C’s Commonwealth of Nations: The Empire Strikes Back? broadcast on Wednesday 23rd at 11pm, on Radio 4. Ruth Craggs reflects on the post-colonial politics of the Commonwealth Games below.
